10 TIPS TO HAVING A MERRIER CHRISTMAS

Christmas to most people is the most exciting time of the year. Most times we go through the year waiting for Christmas.
Why is that? Because it is the only time of the year when all cares are thrown away no matter what they are and rejoicing and happiness sets in no matter your circumstances.
But Christmas can be more exciting. More wonderful and merrier
Just apply these tips

1. Say merry Christmas to people you meet at malls, at the airport, your neighbors, your family member, people you meet on the street. Just smile and say merry Christmas. This will help put you in that delightful christmas mood.
2. Give!!! Christmas is a time of giving. So look around you and seek out those who are not having so great a Christmas and give. The wonderful thing about Christmas is that  you may give cash, food item or clothing.
3. Don't over indulge in alcohol. I am sure you want to stay alive even after Christmas, alcohol may deprive of you of that.
4. Don't over eat! I am sure you want to still keep that super model shape even after Christmas. Besides when you over eat, your stomach hurts and this may take away the Christmas in you.
5. Go out! Alone, with family, with your partner, with your girls or guys! To the cinema, to beach, to dinner, to parks. Have fun. That is what Christmas is all about!
6. Look for new recipes! Though Christmas is not complete without rice and chicken in this part of the world, you can still spice up your Christmas by adding new side dishes. This will excite those at your table.
7. Don't drink and drive! Sadly Christmas is still that time of the year when a lot of people loose their lives or get maimed for life in accidents. So please if you are drunk in a party, find another way home. Take a cab, call a friend or family member. If you can don't imbibe alcohol at all.
8. Take holiday if you can afford it, even if it is to your village. Surprisingly villages are more fun during Christmas than the cities. This is because a lot of people come back from different parts of the world bringing with them their own idea of fun but please indulge in only wholesome fun
9. Have family reunions, this a splendid way to feel the Christmas spirit. Some of my memorable Christmas experience are those spent running around with my cousins. Listening to the history of my family and kindred from my grandmother or to my aunts as they take turns in telling us folk tales.
10. Finally Don't forget the reason for the season, think of Christ and his atonement. What great blessings his great sacrifice brought to the world. After all Christmas is about him and none else.
